PFA the scanned images of three documents, these are for Nita A. Similarly we sign all the 3 for all employees at Fact Crescendo.

1. Offer Letter – This is the letter given to a “Probable Hire”, this letter tells them that we at Fact Crescendo are ready to offer him/her a job at our organisation and also states clearly to  him/her the terms and conditions of the employment. On point number 7 you will see that we clearly tell the person what we expect from them when it comes to being “non-partisan”, this way we clearly prevent our staff from being biased or involved in political parties or advocacy organisations. We also do a check on their Social media Accounts like FB, LinkedIn and Twitter to check if they are associated with any political organisation etc. If things go right, only then we go to step 2 below.

2. Appointment letter - This is given to the employee once they finish the training / induction and other formalities. On page 2 point number 8 you will see mentioned we clearly state that if the employee has any association with a political part his/her employment can be terminated. This way we clearly prevent our staff from being biased or involved in political parties or advocacy organisations.

3. Employee Hand Book – This is given to all employees once they join in, in this also on page no 4, Point named - Code of Conduct, point 2 and 3 clearly state that employees can not have any political associations, they cannot give in any biased fact checks also.

All the above 3 documents are signed by the employee. Apart from this during the whole recruitment process several times it is reiterated that any employee of Fact Crescendo cannot have any involvement with Political Parties or Advocacy Organisations. They are told that all their work at Fact Crescendo has to be unbiased and true.

Please also find the link to our Nonpartisanship Policy mentioned in our Code of Principles which clearly underlines / states Fact Crescendo's policies as an organization.

Sources Policy

Please find below the detailed description of the methodology we use, this gives all readers enough data to replicate the fact check.

You can find it here: https://factcrescendo.com/methodology-2/

Also, you can know more about Our Methodology by reading the part: Transparency of Methodology in our Code Of Principles.

To ensure we comply with this aspect we publish articles under 3 core headers:

1. Narrative in Social Media

2. Our Fact Check which includes our research with factual evidences.

3. Conclusion which in a distinct box lines out the claim title, name of the fact-checker and the result. So that our readers can easily at one look know the result of the fact-check.

This is done for making it easier for readers to understand the “What,” “Who,” “When,” “Where,” “Why” & “How” of any article we publish. We include where required and possible, links of images, tweets, web-page, source name, source designation, source profile etc from an online archive www.archive.is. All this is done so that readers can easily fact check by themselves the various links and images in an article (even if originals are removed). We believe in the principle of Transparency in Sources & Methodology and we will continuously strive to improve our website so that readers can easily verify our information and can readers have enough details so as to replicate our fact checks.

You can read in details about our methodology below

https://factcrescendo.com/code-of-principles/

Please read the part : Transparency of Methodology in our Code Of Principles.

We follow all the policies, procedures and methodologies meticulously.

Some good articles which showcase our methodology and the detailed steps we follow for our fact-checking work are as below:

Link 1: https://www.factcrescendo.com/is-election-commission-of-india-promoting-modi-on-their-website/

Example 1: During General Elections 2019 a website was being displayed live by some users on social media platforms stating it as election commission of India’s website running advertisements of the current government.

A frame of the live video displayed the name of the website as www.elections.in

We searched online for the election commission of India website and found that the original election commission of India website url is www.eci.gov.in

Post this we looked for the ownership details of both the websites and found that the url www.elections.in is owned by "Compare Info base Limited" with its IP location in Singapore However www.eci.gov.in is owned by NIC Net India with its IP location in Delhi

We did a simple comparison based on our findings so that the users can easily understand or replicate this fact check by themselves.

Link 2: https://www.factcrescendo.com/statue-of-lord-ram-and-sita-found-at-iraq/

Example 2: Ancient idols of Lord Shri Ram and Sitaji found at a digging site in Iraq.

Various social media users shared an image of idols found at a digging site claiming it to be from Iraq.

On reverse image search of that image we got some news articles stating that idols were found at Jilinga village in Khunti district – Jharkhand, India, but we still needed more evidences to prove the image origin, we searched for Jilinga village on Google and found the official website of Khunti district Jharkhand, on village information section we got details that Bhindara village is the panchayat of Jilinga and this is a remote tribal village approximately 2.6 kms inside the jungle. We shared the google map location for the same.

Post the online investigation we contacted Khunti Block Police station where Sub Inspector Mr. Sankar confirmed the incidence to be of Jilinga village and the same was confirmed by Jilinga Block Development Officer Mrs. Sumitra Minz when contacted.

Our investigation led us to the villagers of Jilinga who was present at the time of this digging; he confirmed the incidence while identifying himself in the picture.
