Between August and October 2016, Agência Lupa fact-checked the mayoral elections in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte. Our team have followed 21 candidates and have analyzed at least one claim made by each one of them. Among these 21 politicians, there were different parties, interests and so on...

Agência Lupa makes a balanced choice of the speakers and themes whose data it checks. The evaluation does not show any preference for a party and there are no signs of activism in the agency's research work.
