Mathias-Felipe de-Lima-Santos (PhD) holds the position of a postdoctoral researcher within the Human(e) AI project at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. He also serves as a research associate at the Digital Media and Society Observatory (DMSO) based at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), Brazil. Notably, he was previously a researcher at the University of Navarra, Spain, working under the JOLT project—a Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Training Network supported by the European Commission's Horizon 2020. Before, he held the role of a Visiting Researcher at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. Mathias-Felipe is the co-editor of the book “Journalism, Data and Technology in Latin America,” a publication by Palgrave Macmillan in 2021. He is currently engaged in editing a two-volume series titled “Fact-Checking in the Global South.” Furthermore, he is part of the editorial board for Digital Journalism. His research pursuits are centered around the transformative dynamics of communication, fueled by technological innovations, with a particular emphasis on journalism, media, and online social networks.
