Experience
Stephan worked as a reporter and producer for Germany's most watched public service broadcaster ZDF for twelve years. As a reporter he covered issues like the digital economy and disinformation campaigns. He was also part of ZDF's fact checking teams during the federal election campaign in 2017 and the European election campaign in 2019. From 2016 to 2021 he also worked as an assistant professor at the Institute for Journalism at TU Dortmund Institute. Since 2021 he has taken on the role as manager of the Institute.

Worked previously for the public service broadcaster ZDF. Worked together with dpa, AFP, Correctiv and APA on a grant proposal to the European Commission. The grant has not yet been approved and the project has not yet started.
